Are you interested in becoming a CPL holder? First Class Defense, LLC offers complete CPL classes in Clio, MI and Grand Blanc, MI. Here, we cover the legal and practical materials needed to become qualified to carry a concealed pistol.

  • Practicing at the shooting range

Each 8-hour course costs $125 and consists of 5 hours of classroom instruction and 3 hours of range time. During this time, you'll learn how to:

Develop a carrying technique that works for you

Properly file all the paperwork to receive your CPL

Stay safe when handling a firearm

Each of our CPL classes complies with Section 5J of 1927 PA 372. We also provide free breakfast and lunch, as well as hearing and eye protection. Students are required to bring at least 50 rounds of ammunition and are recommended to bring their own pistol. If you don't have one, you can rent one from us and purchase select ammunition.

PROPERLY CARE FOR YOUR FIREARM

ane key aspect of our classes is firearm maintenance training. We'll teach you how to disassemble and clean your firearm, fix jams and understand what kind of ammunition to use for specific situations.


At the same time, you'll also learn the fundamentals of firearm safety. Our instructor will cover common nomenclature, how to work your firearm and vital firearm safety tips. We also offer refresher courses for $40.
